Two-Four

At the end of September, Ottawa's largest art studio cooperative is celebrating its 24th Annual Open Studio with a contemporary two-floor art exhibition. Located in an old bread factory, the Enriched Bread Artists (EBA) studios house 22 artists working in diverse media, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and digital media. Visitors can explore each studio encountering the artists in an intimate context, and discover how they work.

Opening Night:
Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 6 to 9 pm

Exhibition continues:
Fridays, September 23 and September 30, 6 to 9 pm
Saturdays, September 24 and October 1, 11 am to 5 pm
Sundays, September 25 and October 2, 11 am to 5 pm
Admission is free.

Two-Four
Fin septembre, la plus large coopérative d’ateliers en art d’Ottawa fêtera sa 24ème année de Visite d’ateliers avec une exposition en art contemporain. Situé dans une ancienne boulangerie industrielle, occupant deux étages, EBA héberge vingt-deux artistes qui travaillent dans divers domaines incluant : peinture, dessin, photographie, sculpture et médias numériques. Les visiteurs pourront explorer chaque atelier, rencontrer les artistes dans un cadre intime et découvrir ainsi leur façon de travailler.

In conjunction with the exhibition, There’s Room,held at Gallery 101, January 23 – February 27, 2016, two nearby Ottawa galleries: The Enriched Bread Artists and the RIA Project Room will be opening exhibitions that closely relate to migration issues that are also explored by the artists at Gallery 101.

EBA artists reflect on the experience of leaving behind one’s homeland, relatives, brutal regimes, wars, love, languages.

Participating artists:  Tami Galili Ellis, Colette Greco-Riddle, Sayward Johnson, Gayle Kells, Bozica Radjenovic, Mana Rouholamini, Svetlana Swinimer.
