Julie Baribeau is a mixed media artist who has experimented with multiple materials her whole life. She is particularly drawn to collage, painting and drawing, and using discarded or found materials in her work. Julie is motivated by the role art can play to build community, to question and shift culture and to heal ourselves.

With her artwork, she wants to share her love and awe for the natural world. Julie is always open to experimenting and to representing new ideas about the ways we interact with nature and each other. She is influenced by mystic traditions as well as her background in ecosystems science. Julie has studied art at the Ottawa School of Art and through various other classes, workshops and self-directed studies over many years.
